Lisa Behling

Lisa Behling has 25 years of equine history including several championships at the local "A" and national level. Lisa has a well rounded background in equine care, including breeding, training, instructing, showing, nutrition, and management.

Before becoming a professional horse trainer, Lisa owned her own small breeding farm in which she bred, trained, and has shown many horses which went on to become tremendously competitive in several disciplines.

Throughout her career she has worked with some of the top trainers in the country including an Olympic show jumper and FEI (Federation Equestrian Internationale) level dressage trainer and judge. While working with these trainers, Lisa's responsibilities consisted of starting and training young horses. She has had much exposure with horses at all levels of training from breaking out to finishing for the show ring.

She has 17 years experience instructing and working with clients of all backgrounds and disciplines, specializing in hunt seat, dressage, and jumping. Recently Lisa has become the official instructor of the Milwaukee Equestrian riding team. Her students from UWM compete throughout the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association). She is motivated and enthusiastic to teach and improve riders and their horses in any discipline.

While working with Equi-shine, Lisa gained valuable knowledge in nutrition, giving her a well rounded background in equine care. She is also experienced at managing farms and special events such as clinics.

Here at Thunder Bit, we are excited for the opportunity to work alongside a trainer with such outstanding accomplishments as Lisa Behling. Her personality and openness to all disciplines will be a great fit for Thunder Bit Stable.
